Karen Norcott - research nurse   

Karen qualified as a RN in 1987 from the Royal Free in London. She has worked in the NHS and private sectors and even spent a short time nursing in Munich.

Karen moved to East Anglia in 1997 and has specialised in research since 2000, working in GP surgeries and hospitals across the region.  Karen has worked on a wide range of research studies.

Karen now lives in Norfolk and joined the Breckland Alliance in January 2018. Karen will be working on research studies in School Lane, Grove and Watton surgeries.


The data collected can benefit patients of all ages now and in the future.

Current studies include:

IQuit - Improving quit rates among smokers in primary care.  Investigating the effectiveness of tailored web text messages base on intentions for smoking cessation.

Garfield - Designed to collect information on treatment and outcomes of patients newly diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation.

BEST 3 - The investigation of patient presenting with reflux symptoms for the early detection of diagnosis.


Staff will contact you via letter or telephone if you meet the criteria for these research studies.
