Current events in Afghanistan may have an impact upon patients who have links with the country. These maybe members of the armed forces community including veterans, their families or those with close family ties to the country. Within this it is possible that mental health issues including PTSD, depression and the use of alcohol or recreational drugs may increase with consequences both upon themselves and those around them.
