Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your SystmOnline account
This service will be available after 11am in the morning. We will not be able to answer questions relating to test results or hospital letters until after this time in the morning.
Blood tests, urine tests and swabs are usually available within five to six days, smear tests can take about three weeks. Please do not make an appointment to discuss results unless you are requested to do so.

Hospital letters
Hospital letters usually take three weeks to arrive, please always check that the letter is back before making an appointment with a doctor to discuss your hospital visit.
